Dino park Râșnov

Discover the prehistoric world at Dino Park Rasnov, a fascinating destination for explorers of all ages. This park, the largest in South-East Europe, is also an open-air museum, unique in Romania.

Strategically located on Strada Cetății, the park is in the vicinity of the historic Râșnov Fortress. Over 120 dinosaurs greet visitors on a vast 4 hectare area. Each of these prehistoric giants is scientifically attested and rendered in life size, based on the latest paleontological findings.

The experience at Dino Parc Rasnov starts with the impressive dinosaur trail. But the adventure doesn’t stop there. The park combines learning with fun, offering themed playgrounds for the little ones, treehouses with educational exhibitions, thrilling adventure trails, an adrenaline-pumping zip line, an intriguing laser maze and a 9D cinema.

Park exhibitions are constantly updated, including both local and international scientific exhibits. The park’s main attraction is the impressive Hatzegopteryx thambema. This is a local dinosaur that lived in the Hațeg area. Visitors can also admire an extremely rare real meteorite found in Romania.

The park also includes a live display of Seismosaurus, which could cause a small earthquake with every step taken. There is also an interactive volcano and an earthquake platform in the Dino Park. This simulates three types of earthquakes: one caused by the movement of tectonic plates, one caused by a herd of running Seismosaurus and an earthquake caused by a volcanic eruption.

The animatronic dinosaur area, which emits terrifying sounds, and the interactive augmented reality window are just some of the attractions that bring prehistory to life.

Dino Parc Rasnov works closely with the palaeontological community. Many of its exhibitions are created in partnership with prestigious institutions.
